Our Mission
Our goal is to provide an enjoyable yet challenging environment for young athletes that fosters the drive to improve individually and the desire to commit to the betterment of the team.
We strive to promote lifelong enjoyment of soccer while balancing competitive youth sports with other important areas of life - faith, family, friendships and other areas of education and exploration.
Denver United FC encourages personal and athletic achievement through integrity, sportsmanship, unyielding spirit and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
We want to encourage more kids in Lincoln County and the surrounding areas to get involved in the beautiful sport by keeping our costs affordable and providing high quality training and home matches in the Denver area. We rely on our dedicated volunteers - coaches, board members, staff, etc. - to help us achieve these goals.
History
Formed in the fall of 2016 and born out of need, Denver United had one team of boys who had created a bond in their recreational seasons, and they wanted to play together at a more competitive level. They joined a league in Charlotte, and it grew from there.
In order to be able to include girls' teams in its program and offer more as a club, Denver United FC became a 501(c)3 organization and applied for and was accepted into NCYSA in the summer of 2018 as the first club from Lincoln County.
Denver United is a grassroots, volunteer-led effort to grow the game in Lincoln County. Our desire is to ultimately provide a pathway for players to start and finish their youth soccer 'career' in Lincoln County - from recreation, to Youth Academy, to Classic play. Together we can make this happen. Play local!
